Shafak News/ Dollar cash sales to banks and mediation companies decreased compared to foreign remittances, with the opening of the bank's sessions for the current week on Sunday.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 219 million and 942 thousand and 100 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that 95% of these sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 208 million and 292 thousand and 100 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 11 million and 650 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 32 banks have met requests to enhance balances abroad, and 9 banks have responded to cash requests, in addition to 67 mediation companies.
