The Parliamentary Education Committee was surprised at not giving the current government curriculum a priority to pay attention to the education sector, considering that the Ministry of Education needs a "reform revolution."
The head of the committee, Representative Zaytoun al-Dulaimi, said, "The education sector has been suffering for years from problems that require effective solutions," adding that "neglecting the education file will lead to a decline in its level in the country, because the ministry suffers from marginalization and lack of financial allocations."
Al-Dulaimi called on the higher authorities to "need attention to the infrastructure of schools and educational staffs to absorb the inputs, in light of the explosive increase in the annual population rate, as this year witnessed the reception of about 1.4 million new students," according to the official newspaper.
And she noted that "the increase in the number of students enrolled annually in schools is a clear indication of their numbers doubling over the coming years, amid the presence of double and triple shifts, because the education infrastructure is unable to accommodate the increasing numbers, and therefore more than one department is merged into one school, which causes a decline." evident at the scientific level.
