The Ministry of Finance said, on Saturday, that it had monitored many "fake" social media pages, including a Twitter account impersonating Finance Minister Taif Sami's name and description, "deluding citizens with false and unfounded news and information."
The ministry added, in a statement, that it "denies its connection to this aforementioned page, and calls on citizens to receive information and news from the ministry's website and its approved official pages."
The ministry confirmed that it "will take legal action against anyone who impersonates her name or the name and capacity of the minister, so it is necessary to point out."
