    Today, Sunday, a member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Ziyadi, explained the reason for the delay in determining oil prices in the budget, and while he called on the government to expedite sending the federal budget law to Parliament for approval, he pointed out that there are many political problems in the budget.
    Al-Ziyadi said, in a press interview seen by Taqaddam, that “the conflicting international oil prices due to the winter weather in Europe and the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war caused delay in approving the budget law for the purpose of determining the price of oil in it,” noting that “there are many political problems in Budget Law.”
    He added, “The decline in oil prices may prompt the government to raise the price of the dollar to pay the salaries of employees,” adding: “If the Sudanese government continues in this manner, it will be similar to what preceded it.”
    A member of the House of Representatives called on the government to “accelerate the approval of the budget in order to work on providing services to citizens,” stressing that “the fifth session in Parliament differs from the previous one because of the presence of many independent personalities.”
    It is noteworthy that the preparation of the draft budget took a long time, especially since it has been in the corridors of the government and the relevant ministries for more than five months, which caused boredom among the Iraqi people, who are waiting for it “very hotly” after its absence for more than two years, hoping that it will provide them with even a small benefit.
