A statement by Al-Halbousi’s office stated today, (February 22, 2023), “Today, Wednesday, Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi received the Ambassador of the United States of America to Iraq, Ms. Alina Romanowski, and they discussed the results of the recent visit of the official Iraqi delegation to Washington, and the next steps to strengthen the existing partnership between the two countries. in various fields, including economic and security.
He added, "The meeting also discussed the general situation in the country, and a number of issues of common interest."
