The Pharmacists Syndicate welcomed the government's decision regarding the localization of the Iraqi pharmaceutical industry, noting the need to involve the ministries of planning, industry and health in a way that serves this decision.
The head of the Pharmacists Syndicate, Mustafa Al-Hiti, said, in an interview with Al-Sabah: “We support the prime minister’s call for this step, which will employ a large workforce,” adding, “But we must work according to a technological pattern and change work life and continuous holidays, and this decision must not be It is just a typical industry, but it must be a qualitative and specialized production.”
Al-Hiti added, "The localization of the pharmaceutical industry in Iraq, if it is according to new technology, will add new items to the drug market, and we must not return to the same typical industry," noting that "Iraq today has 23 small laboratories for the production of medicine, and dozens of other laboratories will enter the process."
