     Former MP Furat Al-Tamimi confirmed, on Saturday, that the launch of the plan to impose the law before the 2021 elections changed the political and social reality in Diyala, indicating that the launch of the process before the parliamentary elections would have radically changed the results.
    Al-Tamimi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, "Diyala was in dire need of a plan to enforce the law two years ago, especially with the increase in violations and the dominance of some gangs and criminal networks that caused tragedies for dozens of families due to murders, kidnappings, and the repercussions of smuggling."
    He added, "The security situation in Diyala, days after the launch of the law enforcement plan, is the best in many years, and this can be monitored through the popular satisfaction with its results, pointing out that if the process had been launched before the 2021 elections, its results would have definitely changed and some were not forced to vote for parties without other".
    He pointed out that "the presence of striking forces in Diyala represents a priority and a popular demand in order to overcome the many negative aspects that were behind a series of security crises that struck the province in recent years."
