    The General Company for Iraqi Ports held, on Wednesday, a meeting that included the Border Guard and River Police Command to coordinate and secure the arrival of the ship (LOGOS HOPE) (Floating Book Fair), which includes more than (5000) titles, most of which are scientific titles.
    The Director General of Ports, Farhan Al-Fartousi, said in a statement, "The ports, under the direction of the Minister of Transport, Razak Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, are strongly supportive of all activities and events that would create an educated academic generation."
    He explained that "the port staff are fully prepared to lead the ship (LOGOS HOPE) and take it to the place designated for its parking," noting that "the preparations are in full swing to secure the book exhibition on the scientific ship."
    In addition, the Director of the Maritime Control and Guidance Department, Senior High Seas Captain, Ramzi Esha Daoud, who chaired the meeting, said: “Today we held a meeting with Brigadier General Adnan Fakher, representing the River Police, and Colonel Jawad Kazem, representing the Border Guard Command, and we discussed a mechanism for securing the ship’s arrival at the designated site. ".
    And he indicated, "The leadership of the ship will be the responsibility of the captains of the General Company for Iraqi Ports and the external insurance of the commands of the river police and border guards."
    It is noteworthy that this ship visited more than (162) countries and is considered the largest scientific library on board a ship. It is scheduled to dock in Basra for a period of 14 days, where several activities and events will be held on it, in addition to the book fair, which will be open to the visual public, especially university and school students. Throughout her stay in the governorate, according to the text of the statement.
