Today, Wednesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani sponsored the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Municipality of Baghdad and the Municipality of Paris.
The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani sponsored, today, Wednesday, the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Municipality of Baghdad and the Municipality of Paris, where it was signed on the Iraqi side by the Mayor of Baghdad, Ammar Musa, and on the French side, the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo." .
The Prime Minister affirmed that "the signing of this memorandum comes within the framework of cooperation relations between Iraq and France, in order to work to show the beauty of Baghdad with its history and heritage," stressing "the government's determination to implement projects that highlight Iraq's civilizational importance and status."
According to the office, "the memorandum of understanding includes the promotion of cooperation in various fields, in accordance with mutual interests and the laws in force in France and Iraq, and it also involves the exchange of experiences in the service aspect, which includes water, sanitation, waste management, energy and urban planning, as well as programs related to culture, tourism and heritage." cultural and urban areas of the two cities, as well as cooperation in the field of environmental management and sustainability
