    BAGHDAD / obelisk: Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, said Iraq is open to the international community and wants mutual relations based on mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs and respect for Iraqi sovereignty.

    According to a statement obtained by "obelisk", a copy of that, "Abadi met with his Australian counterpart Tony Abbott on the sidelines of the UN Security Council and General Assembly of the United Nations, and discussed security cooperation and strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries."

    The statement added that "the two sides agreed on the need to assist Iraq in its efforts to fight al Daash."

    The new Abadi, according to the statement, his emphasis on "the importance of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields, particularly in the security file," adding that "Iraq is open to the international community and wants relations reciprocal based on mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs and respect for Iraqi sovereignty.
