Parliament hosts those concerned with the agreement with Iran

The oil agreement signed by Iraq with Iran was well received by the House of Representatives, especially since the agreement is a solution to address the problem of power outages that the country suffers from this summer season. A member of the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee, Sabah Sobhi, promised, in an interview with "Al-Sabah", that "conducting the oil agreement with Iran to exchange between black oil and gas is a blessed effort that the Sudanese Prime Minister Muhammad Shia sought to activate, especially since we have sufficient reserves of black oil," noting that "the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee had previously announced its urgent need for gas to solve the problem of power outages and the suffering of the citizen." And he indicated that "the committee will work to host the concerned parties in order to know the content of the agreement and its economic feasibility, and to what extent will its duration be, and these questions are not answered by the committee, as they only occurred through the media."
Subhi added, "The government has moved towards gas investment, as we are the only country in which gas is burned," noting that "the electricity file is a large file and needs an extensive study to address the imbalance in production and distribution, especially with the increase in population density, which increases consumption, and the important point remains to what extent the government can provide electricity in the context of the lack of rational consumption by the citizen, so there must be rationalization by the citizen and educating him in this aspect."
