The Parliamentary Education Committee seeks to merge the Ministry of Science and Technology with the Ministry of Higher Education through the eighth amendment that will be made to the Ministry of Education Law.
Committee member Muhammad Qutayba said, in an interview with "Al-Sabah": "The committee will hold a workshop today, Sunday, to clarify the amendments that will be made to the Higher Education Law, including the merger of the Ministry of Science and Technology as a body linked to the Ministry of Higher Education."
Qutaiba pointed out that "the workshop will be attended by a number of university presidents, as well as representatives of the Minister of Education and academic experts," noting that "the law has been read in two first and second readings, and after the end of the workshop it will be presented for voting."
