    [size=45]Today, Wednesday, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, held a meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security in his country, to discuss the latest security developments, the most important challenges, and ways to confront them.[/size]
    [size=45]The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, confirmed that the Sudanese meeting with the Ministerial Council for National Security had discussed the initiation of the construction of a limited nuclear reactor for peaceful purposes.[/size]
    [size=45]Major General Yahya Rasool stated in a statement through his official account on “X” (formerly Twitter) that “the investment of nuclear energy in the generation of electric power at the national level was discussed, and the initiation of the establishment of a limited nuclear reactor for peaceful purposes and the production of clean electric energy that contributes to reducing dependence on electricity.” Other sources of energy such as gas and oil, which will have a positive impact on the stability of electric power in the long term.[/size]
    [size=45]Major General Rasool confirmed in his official statement that the Ministerial Council for Iraqi National Security was held in the presence of the Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Minister of Electricity and the Technical Committee for Electronuclear Projects.[/size]
    [size=45]It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, discussed with the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, the political, security, economic and environmental conditions in the country, last Thursday.[/size]
    [size=45]During the meeting, the two sides affirmed support for the government's efforts to implement its program in accordance with the priorities of consolidating security and stability and meeting the needs of citizens, in order to achieve sustainable development.[/size]
