    Baghdad today - Baghdad 
    The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Distribution Affairs, Ali Maaraj Al-Bahadli, announced today, Saturday (September 30, 2023), that the Ministry of Oil has worked to restore the tanker fleet to leadership, as the arrival of the tanker confirmed will be announced shortly after.
    Al-Bahadli told “Baghdad Today” that “Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad pledged to increase the fleet of tankers to larger tankers during the period,” noting that he “talked with Al-Sawad to buy tankers of up to two million barrels to transport Iraqi oil to countries.” 
    On (September 28, 2023), Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul Ghani, announced the arrival of the tanker “Sumer” to the port of Khor Al-Zubair in Basra Governorate, while confirming that it would join the Iraqi tanker fleet.
    Abdul Ghani said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", "The tanker Sumer was built according to the latest specifications and has a capacity of more than 200 thousand barrels per day," indicating that "he will work to restore the tanker company to leadership to own large tankers for exporting petroleum products." 
    On (August 22, 2023), the Ministry of Oil announced the delivery of the tanker “Sumer” with a capacity of (31) thousand tons, while it confirmed - at the time - that it would enter service this month of September.
