    {Politics: Al-Furat News} Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received, today, Tuesday, Assistant President of the Russian Federation, Igor Levitin, and his accompanying delegation.
    During the meeting, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, a copy of which {Al-Furat News} received, “bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, and ways to enhance mutual cooperation in various fields, in addition to discussing the approach to the upcoming visit of Mr. Sudanese to Moscow.”
    The Prime Minister referred to “the close and historical relations that bind Iraq with Russia, and the government’s desire to strengthen them, stressing Iraq’s launch of the Development Road Project with the Al-Faw Port Project, which is considered a sustainable economic project, within the government’s policy of shifting towards a multiple economy and not relying on oil, in addition to "Its importance to the countries of the region, and its integration with other economic corridors."
    For his part, Levitin conveyed the greetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Prime Minister, and also offered congratulations on the occasion of the Iraqi National Day, stressing his country's desire to consolidate cooperation with Iraq at various levels.
