    Baghdad today - Baghdad
The Preparatory Committee for the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice announced today, Sunday (October 15, 2023), the start of its meetings for the 39th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice in Baghdad.
Tomorrow, Monday (October 16, 2023), the capital, Baghdad, will host, for the first time, the 39th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice meeting with the participation of 21 countries.
Ministry of Justice spokesman Kamel Amin Hashem said in a press statement, “The opening speech at the meeting will be given by the president of the previous 38th session, Moroccan Minister of Justice Abdel Latif Wehbe, and then the president of the conference, Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani, will take over the duties, and then there will be a speech by the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.” Saudi Arabia, which chairs the Executive Office at its 72nd session, will hold its meeting today, Sunday, in the presence of eight countries, in addition to Iraq’s participation, as the agenda for the meeting and all the papers that will be presented will be approved.
Amin explained, “The meeting will witness the presentation of important topics, including discussing guiding Arab laws, as well as moving towards joining Arab agreements, memorandums and protocols related to Arab law, judiciary, and judicial work in general.”
He continued, saying: “Side meetings will also be held outside the work of the meeting with various political parties to support the country in various aspects, whether economic, investment, or others,” according to what the official newspaper reported.
