    [size=45]The Iraqi Minister of Environment, Nizar Hamidi, sent an official invitation to his Saudi counterpart, Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Hussein Al-Fadhli, to attend the regional climate change conference scheduled to be held at the beginning of the year 2024 in the capital, Baghdad.[/size]
    [size=45]This came on the sidelines of the ninth conference of environment ministers in the Islamic world in Jeddah, 10/19/2023, according to what the Iraqi Ministry of Environment announced in a statement today, Friday.[/size]
    [size=45]The Ministry said in its statement that the two sides discussed during the meeting the 28th Climate Change Conference of the Parties, which will be held in Dubai at the end of November 2023, as it will be an opportunity for all participating countries to produce results that contribute to increasing the flexibility and steadfastness of countries exposed and fragile to climate change and the commitment of developed countries in their pledges to support funds. Climate, providing the necessary technology for green transformation, and clarifying carbon investment mechanisms.[/size]
    [size=45]Amedi invited the Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture to attend the Regional Climate Change Conference, which will be held in Baghdad early next year, in which it will highlight the country’s regional agenda, enhance cooperation with neighboring countries, discuss ways of joint regional adaptation mechanisms, and participate in environmentally promising projects.[/size]

    [size=45]The Iraqi Minister of Environment, Nizar Amedi, also met with the Jordanian Minister of Environment, Muawiyah Al-Radaydeh, on the sidelines of the meetings of the Ninth Conference of Environment Ministers in the Islamic World, which was organized by the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in cooperation with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), under the slogan (Towards achieving a green transformation in the Islamic world). .[/size]
