After a long wait... Labor announces the launch of the financial grant for students next month

Shafaq News/ The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, confirmed on Monday that the financial grant for students will be launched next month for those included in it.
Al-Asadi said during a press conference held in the ministry building and attended by Shafaq News Agency, “The Social Protection Authority, after completing networking with the education directorates in Baghdad and the governorates, and according to the minutes of the meetings, recorded, as of the twenty-fifth of this month, the enrollment of one million and 835 thousand students, both male and female, in full-time.” School, while the number of students absent from school reached 4,145 male and female students.
He added, "The amount allocated for the student scholarship for the month of October amounted to 67 billion, 756 million and 160 thousand dinars. The amounts have been disbursed to the Ministry of Education, and the scholarship will be disbursed early next month."
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Council of Representatives approved the monthly financial grant program for students in August 2012, and it continued until the government of former Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to implement it and then stop disbursing it.
In August 2023, the Ministry of Education announced that it would relaunch the student scholarship to include primary and middle school students at a rate of 30,000 dinars per month for a student and 50,000 dinars per month for a student.
