    {Politics: Al-Furat News} Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani met with the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, during his visit to Erbil Governorate, which he arrived on Thursday evening.
    A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, a copy of which {Al-Furat News} received, stated, “The meeting witnessed discussion of a number of financial and political issues and files at the national level, and an emphasis on the necessity of coordinating efforts in order to support the government in implementing its governmental program, the axes of which focus on improving services and advancing “The economic and living reality in all parts of Iraq.”
    The meeting touched on "the parliamentary elections of the Iraqi Kurdistan region, which will be held next February, and the importance of supporting the efforts of the Independent High Electoral Commission, in order to ensure fair elections that meet the aspirations and ambitions of the citizens of the region."
    During the meeting, they also discussed “a number of security and economic aspects, and the challenges facing the goal of strengthening and sustaining stability.”
