[size=45]Today, Thursday (12/14/2023), Mr. Fares Issa, head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s representative office in Baghdad, visited the headquarters of the Iraqi Parliament and met Mr. Safwan Al-Jarjari, Secretary-General of the Parliament, and a number of general directors.[/size]
[size=45]During the meeting, the current situation in the country was discussed, especially the approaching date of holding the provincial council elections, which will be held next Monday.[/size]
[size=45]The results of the recent discussions between the delegations of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government regarding border crossings and the mechanism for managing them in the next stage were also discussed during the meeting.[/size]
[size=45]At the conclusion of the meeting, the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives expressed his happiness at the visit of the head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s representation in Baghdad to the Council’s headquarters, stressing the necessity of continuing meetings and cooperation between the two sides to serve the public interest.[/size]
