The Council of Ministers, in its regular session held yesterday, Tuesday, headed by Council President Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, approved the appointment of 41 general directors, after evaluating them according to work mechanisms and standards approved by the Council of Ministers in accordance with Resolution 23242.
The Prime Minister directed, according to a statement from his media office, During the session, the 25th and 26th of December will be an official holiday for Christian citizens, on the occasion of the glorious Christmas holidays.
Al-Sudani also directed the Ministry of Interior to facilitate the granting and extension of entry permits for participants in the Baghdad International Fair until the end of the session, and to resolve the matters related to the companies participating in the exhibition.
The Council agreed to pay the Iraqi Media Network the amount of the contract for broadcasting the Iraqi Football League matches for the season (2023-2024) on the Iraqi Sports Channel, amounting to 10 billion dinars, in one payment to the Iraqi Football Federation upon contracting. It was also approved to continue implementing Cabinet Resolution (358 of 2021) regarding the debts of media institutions, and to extend its effectiveness until the end of the fiscal year of the federal budget on December 31, 2025. The
Council approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for the Economy (230333 Q), which includes reducing the price of the oil product.
