Al-Jamali told Al-Maalouma, “The position of Speaker of Parliament is a component entitlement similar to the rest of the components participating in the political process and the three presidencies,” adding that “the Shiite component worked to be a factor of stability in all past stages, and therefore the component entitlement is an internal matter for each component.” .
He explained that "the constituent entitlement is not decided through the opinion of the majority. Rather, the issue is decided within the constituent by putting forward specific figures for any position, so that one of them is settled on and presented to the other parties in order to vote on it, and the same applies to choosing the Speaker of Parliament."
