    [rtl]Today, Wednesday, Iraqi Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani expressed the ministry’s intention to raise Iraq’s oil production to six million barrels per day.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani, in his speech, while chairing the operations leadership meeting, stressed “implementing what was stated in the government program, and accelerating the implementation of strategic projects in the sectors of extraction, refinery, gas, distribution, export outlets, renewable energy, infrastructure, and others.” ".[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]He added: “We aspire that the new year will witness the implementation of many strategic projects and the achievement of achievements, and we hope that this will constitute an important addition to the oil industry,” adding that “in the extraction sector, we are working to enhance projects to sustain and increase oil production, and implement the requirements of the five-year plan to reach a production rate.” (6) million barrels per day.”[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]He explained, "In the refinery sector, we have achieved a significant increase in production, and we plan to reach self-sufficiency and stop imports. The coming period will witness the completion of a number of promising projects that achieve our goals," noting: "We have succeeded in promoting associated gas investment projects, and the past period has witnessed an increase in In the quantities of gas invested from oil fields, this year will witness the addition of (200) mqmq from the fields invested within the work tasks of the Basra Gas Company, in addition to promising increases from the fields of the Maysan and Dhi Qar oil companies.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]Hayyan Abdul Ghani pointed out that we are working to “enhance the strategic reserve of petroleum products, to support the electric power generation sector and the local need, and we are working to resume the export of crude oil through the northern port, to enhance financial revenues to support the state treasury, and the ministry achieved in 2023 an increase in revenues.” "The finances are above plan, and we hope to achieve more during the new year."[/rtl]

    [rtl]It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced the total exports and revenues achieved for the month of last December, according to preliminary statistics issued by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company “SOMO”, where the total amount of exports of crude oil reached (108) million (56) thousand and (590) barrels, with revenues amounting to (8.316) billion dollars.[/rtl]
