The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities included the ring road project in Baghdad within the budget for the current year 2024, confirming the commencement of its first phase once the allocations allocated for it are released. The Ministry's official spokesman, Nabil Al-Saffar, told Al-Sabah that the aforementioned road is one of the strategic projects included in the budget for the current year 2024, noting that the Design Department of the Roads and Bridges Department, with the help of an international design company, updated the designs that were completed earlier for the road, which is 200 meters long. It is 94 kilometers long and 100 meters wide, due to the changes that occurred in the streets and roads, which required specifying new paths for it.
