The Parliamentary Education Committee described the air conditioning announced by the Ministry of Education as a lie, stressing that it did not achieve the students’ ambitions and did not respond to their appeals.
Committee member Zaitoun Al-Dulaimi explained, in an interview with Al-Sabah, that the adaptation announced by the Ministry of Education is a lie, because it did not rise to the level of the students’ appeals aimed at deleting more topics from the curricula that were scheduled to be adapted, as was done in previous times, indicating The committee reviewed the adaptation and had an opinion contrary to what was approved by the Ministry of Education.
Al-Dulaimi called for a reconsideration of the adapted topics for the third intermediate and sixth intermediate levels, because they were very few and did not reduce the pressure on the students, indicating that the adaptation needed to include other topics to actually solve the problem.
She pointed out that the committee will follow up on the issue through an upcoming meeting in this regard, to reconsider the materials that have been adapted, stressing that it is seriously seeking to include students in the literary stream and vocational education in the decision to adapt the curricula, just like the students included in it within the scientific stream.
