Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani chaired, today, Sunday, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Iraq Fund for Development, in the presence of the Minister of Education.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated, in a statement received by Mawazine News, that “the meeting reviewed the Fund’s projects and directions in 2024, and is part of the Fund’s investment plan, and the focus was on the project of building schools through investment method as the Fund’s first project, during which the financial aspects and designs were discussed.” Which uses appropriate modern building materials, choosing the model that will be adopted in its construction, and emphasizing the importance of meeting environmental requirements according to designs that suit temperatures and climate conditions.”
The Council decided, according to the statement, “to set priorities for work and implementation, and to present school building projects that replace mud, caravansarian, and collapsing schools, in addition to the vacant lands that have been identified.”
The statement indicated that "the meeting discussed other projects that the fund will implement through the private sector, as the focus was on projects whose shares are offered to citizens, in order to provide them with the opportunity to invest in large projects."
