    The winning political forces in Kirkuk Governorate will hold a new meeting, today, Sunday (March 3, 2024), in the capital, Baghdad, in the presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.
    An informed source told "Baghdad Today" that "a meeting includes Bafel Talabani, Muhammad Tamim, Shakhwan Abdullah, Khamis Al-Khanjar, Arshad Al-Salhi, and other figures representing the winning political forces in Kirkuk will be held today in the capital, Baghdad."
    The source added, "The meeting will discuss the issue of resolving the position of Kirkuk governor and other positions, as well as the method of managing the governorate."
    On the other hand, Ahmed Ramzi, a member of the Kirkuk Provincial Council from the Turkmen Front, expressed his confidence on Sunday that the political forces will be able to come to an outcome of the current crisis in the province.
    Ramzi said in an interview with "Baghdad Today" that "the current crisis in Kirkuk is complex, and I believe that the solution will be in Baghdad and in the hands of the leaders and political leaders."
    He stated that “the Kurds and Arabs’ adherence to the position of governor will complicate the crisis even greater,” stressing that “there must be concessions to prove that there is agreement between the three components, and therefore the solution that we presented, which is to manage the governorate alternately between the Kurds, Arabs, and Turkmen, is the ideal solution, and it will also be Other positions are rotated.”
    An informed political source revealed on Wednesday (February 28, 2024) that a meeting will be held at the level of the leaders of the winning political blocs in Kirkuk under the auspices of the Prime Minister on Sunday.
    The source said in an interview with "Baghdad Today" that "a meeting, the second of its kind, will be held and will also be sponsored by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani for all leaders of the winning political forces in Kirkuk, including Khamis al-Khanjar, Bafel Talabani, Arshad al-Salhi, Muhammad Tamim, Shakhwan Abdullah, and Rayyan al-Kildani."
    He added, "The meeting will set a future road map for Kirkuk, including that the security administration of Kirkuk will remain in the hands of the federal forces. It will also try to decide the naming of the positions, including the position of the governor and his deputies, and the head of the council and his deputy, and also resolve the issue of distributing the governorate's administration points and the method of managing them."
    On February 21, under the auspices and presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, representatives of the political forces that won the Kirkuk Provincial Council elections held a meeting under the vision of a national initiative to form the local government in the governorate, in accordance with the fair entitlement expressed by the election results, and then agreeing on a program.
