    Next week, the Ministry of Commerce will distribute the food basket allocated for the month of Ramadan, consisting of four items, while launching the second batch of flour. Director of the Planning and Follow-up Department in the Ministry, Talib Hassan Nimah, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah” followed by “Al-Iqtisad News” that the Ramadan basket includes (noodles, pasta, zero flour, starch), in addition to the monthly food basket consisting of six basic items, bringing the total to the total. Distributor 10.
    He explained that the Ramadan basket will be separate from the basic one in the distribution process, that is, the four items will be distributed first, and after they are completed, the distribution of the basic basket will begin.
    He stated that the Ministry has intensified its efforts to provide families covered by social care with food items, which are items included in the basic ration card and four in the Ramadan basket.
    He stressed that the supervisory teams follow the prices of foodstuffs in local markets while monitoring the process of preparing the food basket, the mills, and the level of performance and quality.
    He pointed out that four marketing outlets will be opened before the month of Ramadan, including two outlets next to Al-Karkh, which are the headquarters of the General Company for Foodstuff Trade and the Baghdad International Fair, and two other outlets on the Rusafa side, which are Muzaffar Square and the Arboretum Sales Center, in order to provide food supplies at competitive prices and control the markets.
    He continued that the Ministry's mobile teams will also provide citizens with food supplies in Baghdad areas through refrigerators and designated vehicles at competitive prices, such as eggs, chicken, and meat.
    Nehme pointed out that the second batch of flour was launched from approved international origins and that agents were being prepared within the time period specified for the central marketing plan.
