Launching the “Iraq is My Identity” campaign in 3 Civil Status Directorates

Yesterday, Sunday, the Ministry of Interior launched the “Iraq is My Identity” campaign within three directorates to issue a unified card to those included in the social protection network.
The Director of the Unified National Card, Brigadier General Ahmed Hadid Al-Mamouri, said on the sidelines of the launch of the campaign yesterday, Sunday, in the Adhamiya District, attended by “Al-Sabah”: The Ministry, in coordination with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, launched the “My Iraqi Identity” initiative within three directorates as an experimental phase, and it will soon be circulated among the rest. Directorates, adding that the campaign will issue the unified card to those included in the protection network, as an exception to electronic reservation and card fees.
For his part, the supervisor of the initiative, Brigadier General Saif Abdel Karim, said in a statement to “Al-Sabah”: It is one of the best initiatives, as it has focused on poor families and will ease the burden of the head of the family in issuing the card, indicating that those included in the protection network will bring a form from the Ministry of Labor confirming their inclusion and then review it. While the Director of Rusafa Civil Affairs, Major General Adnan Imad, explained in a statement to “Al-Sabah”: The Prime Minister has allocated six billion dinars to the groups covered by social care and registered in the Ministry of Labor’s database so that a unified card will be issued to them, indicating that the first and second Rusafa and Adhamiya Civil Affairs directorates will receive those included from afar. Three in the afternoon until five in the afternoon. There are stations designated for them, and there are employees who volunteer to work after the end of their allotted working hours.
In the same context, Deputy Head of the Electronic Government Communication Team, Adnan Al-Arabi, told Al-Sabah: The team, in coordination with the Directorate of Passports and Nationality in the Ministries of Interior and Labor, has begun developing mechanisms for launching the campaign according to simplified and quick procedures that bypass administrative routine.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Labor counted the number of those included in the first batch of issuance, which amounted to one million beneficiaries covered by social protection throughout the country, explaining that the Ministry of Interior allocated certain days per week to release the identities of those included in this initiative, to overcome the momentum that occurs with the large number of visitors.
Al-Arabi reported that the process of counting beneficiaries is continuing by the Ministry of Labor to prepare lists of the names of those included and issue cards to them successively before the end of the time period specified by the Ministry of Interior to complete the old documents.
