    The Ministry of Communications provided optical cable services to about 28 areas on the Karkh side of Baghdad.
    The Director General of the Baghdad Al-Karkh Communications Directorate, Mustafa Jawad, said in an interview followed by Al-Eqtisad News, “These areas witnessed the completion of cable installation work after intensified efforts by the implementing companies. He added that optical cable services were activated for the stores affiliated with the Al-Hurriya, Al-Jihad, Al-Tobji, Al-Ma’alif, and Abu areas. Dashir, as well as Al-Shu'la, Al-Kadhimiya, Al-Adl, Al-Dawra, Al-Ghazaliya, Al-Jami'ah, Hattin, and Al-Khadra neighborhoods, as well as Al-Amiriyah, Al-Mwasalat, Al-Amel neighborhood, Al-Malhaniyah, Al-Salam neighborhood, Al-Iskan, Al-Atifiyah, Al-Shaljiya, Al-Mansour, Al-Daoudi, Al-Yarmouk, Al-Harithiya, Al-Bayaa, and Al-Qadisiyah.
    He continued that work is underway to include other areas on the Karkh side by activating optical cable services, indicating that after completing the activation of the service for the aforementioned areas, a special mechanism was prepared to examine the quality of services after operating them through a modern quality inspection device, in addition to field inspection of the included stores and knowledge. Network quality, as well as allocating a special number to receive complaints “5019” that works 12 hours a day to receive user comments and complaints.  
    He pointed out that subscription to the services is done through three supplying companies, namely (Supercell), (Hala Al-Rafidain) or (Earthlink), and this is done through various offers that the supplying company gives to users.
