Economist: Some private banks violate the application of the law against money laundering

Demanded economic expert Abdul Sattar al-Hashemi, the central bank to punish banks that violate the anti-money laundering law and regulations and instructions issued by.
Hashemi said (of the Agency news) on Tuesday: The civil Some banks deliberately non-specific controls anti-money laundering law, contributed to the recent money laundering operations in the country.
He added: There is a global trend and international calls for the application of national laws to combat money laundering to maintain the safety of the community and countries money, because the money that goes to money laundering is acted either to terrorist operations or drug dealing.
And: that the central bank demands to impose sanctions on banks that violate regulations and laws to curb money laundering and currency smuggling.
