Abadi receives a phone call from the President of Kurdistan

The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi received a telephone call from the President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani, on the entry of Turkish troops to Iraq.

According to the Information Office of the Prime Minister said that during the call they discussed the entry of Turkish troops into Iraq without the knowledge and consent of the Iraqi government and the importance of the unification of the situation and visions for the withdrawal of these forces immediately from Iraqi territory and the preservation of Iraqi sovereignty.”

Al-Abadi renewed his refusal to the entry these forces without the knowledge or consent of Iraqi government and that they should withdraw immediately with demands for a clear position of the sovereignty of Iraq, which does not tolerate it, noting “that since more than a year there have been a number of requests from Arab and regional countries to intervene in the war against Daash gangs and we refused because we do not want to be an arena of conflict in the region. “

He pointed out that it does not have any foreign troops fighting in Iraq, but there are counselors, coaches and victories achieved by the Iraqi troops.”

For his part, Massoud Barzani stressed that “Iraq’s sovereignty is a red line for us and reject the entry of any troops to Iraq, we are with all who help us against Daash terrorist gangs, but in coordination and consultation and the preservation of sovereignty” ./ End
