Transport Minister Baqer al-Zubaidi his commitment to sustain cooperation with Italian companies, especially in the field of ports, most notably the port of Faw.
According to a ministry statement received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of it, that "al-Zubaidi met with the Italian Ambassador in Iraq Marco Carnelos, and discussed with him joint cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways to strengthen it in order to serve the common interests, especially the contribution of Italian companies in support of the Iraqi transport sector."
For his part, the Italian Ambassador praised the development of relations between the two countries, stressing the support of the Italian government for the Iraqi people, especially in the fight against gangs Daash Alarhabiyh.anthy
