    Baghdad/Obelisk:
    Iraqi Cabinet, unveiled Wednesday, details of the decision setting the
    minimum wages of unskilled workers in the private and mixed sectors and
    cooperative "250 dinars only" instead of "120" with a representative of

    Affairs to increase the minimum wage for unskilled workers, and offered
    it to the Cabinet for approval last November 2012, the Council agreed to
    raise wages."



    The statement added that the
    "recommendations of the Commission fixing minimum wages of unskilled
    workers in the private and mixed sectors and cooperative has set the
    minimum wage at $ 250 thousand dinars a month instead of the previous
    amount was (120) thousand dinars a month, or more than (100%) As this
    amount is not less than the upper limit of the tenth grade in payroll to
    the State and the salaries Act public sector no. (22) of the year 2008
    ".



    The statement noted that "the representative of the
    Iraqi Federation of industries has a reservation to the amount specified
    in the recommendations of the Commission and proposed that the increase
    (60%) Of the minimum wage, or (170-200) a only with reviewing this
    annual wage so as not to burden a surprising to the employer for the
    cost of additional security contributions and income taxes ".



    The
    statement noted that "the recommendations from the beginning of July
    next decided to provide State-subsidized production requirements in the
    area of electric power, at least eight hours a day and loads of fuel
    sufficient to projects that support autonomous power to run projects and
    facilitate tax exemptions, particularly in the import of raw materials
    and extend social security coverage to all workers in the private sector
    projects, mixed and cooperative."
