Jaafari Trump calls "the Iraqi Marshall" for the reconstruction of liberated areas

     Berlin / Reuters

Foreign Minister Ibrahim al - Jaafari said that the battle to wrest control of the city of Mosul of al Daesh making progress, and attributed this to the cohesion exceeded expectations within the Iraqi security forces and US - led coalition.
Jaafari added that it is difficult to predict how long it will take the battle but he pointed out that more than athousand fighters Daesh killed and detained 650 of them were freed about a third of the region.
He said al - Jaafari told reporters after meeting with his German counterpart Frank - Walter Steinmeier said very good about the positive results of the operations of these signals and that the process is going better than expected. He added that the battle must continue but it is clear that the cohesion of the coalition forces and played a major role so far.
Jaafari said he expects US President - elect Donald Trump to continue to support Iraq in its fight against Daesh addition to the reconstruction needed after the liberation of Mosul efforts.
He said that Iraq would need a program similar to the Marshall Plan that helped the United States under which Germany to rebuild its infrastructure and economy after World War II.
He added that Iraq does not enter into agreements with departments individually but with the states. And continued strategic support for Iraq despite the transfer of power from former US President George W. Bush to President Barack Obama said al - Jaafari said he expected the same thing with the next change in theWhite House.
He pointed out that strategies do not change with the Presidents and the agreements signed then be binding on all parties concerned. In another context, the foreign minister said Iraq would not accept any Turkish intervention in the border region.
Turkey is concerned that seeking Shiite factions of the Iraqi forces support to avenge the Sunni Turkmen in the city of Tal Afar , which lies on the main road between Mosul and Syria and is a center for militants since 2003.
Jaafari he said that Germany could intercede with Turkey but did not ask for any specific support yet.
Steinmeier said that it is important to abide by the deal that freed the main areas in Mosul , however , theSunni Iraqi forces and not the Shiite factions.
He added that he discussed with al - Jaafari about the constant bombardment of eastern Aleppo in Syria and said that it is important humanitarian supplies for civilians connected there and in other parts of Syria. "This is the most important because we know that there will not be any major steps towards a political solution until the new administration took power."
