    confirmed Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Saturday his country 's opposition to the proliferation of nuclear weapons, calling on the international community to go to the disarmament of such weapons, as pointed out that North Korea took the initiative to help Iran in providing defensive weapons during the war with Iraq (1980 - 1988 ). 

    Zarif said in an interview with the magazine "Newsweek" America, reported by news agency Iranian official "IRNA", said : "Our position is quite clear, as we are opposed to general proliferation of nuclear weapons," pointing out that "we believe that the goal of society the world must be disarmament Nuclear weapons and that the direction of such weapons does not serve the security of anyone. "




    "We believe that the bad situation on the Peninsula Korean should not be tightened more than it is and should not escalate tensions, and this is why we believe that this issue should be resolved and settled through diplomatic channels and at the dialogue table." 

    "Our relations with Japan and South Korea are much wider than our relations with North Korea, but we do not forget that North Korea started to help us provide defensive weapons during the war imposed on us by Iraq, and our memory is not short," Zarif said.
