Withdrawing US defense systems from the Middle East .. Security analyst: Biden will regret it, and our allies will resort to opponents

The decision of the United States to withdraw its defense systems and Patriot missile platforms from several Arab countries, including Iraq and Saudi Arabia, preoccupies the military and security circles, as a major change in the security map of the region.
Will Biden "regret"?
The American analyst specializing in security affairs, Maya Carlin, expected that "US President Joe Biden will regret withdrawing forces, anti-missile and air defenses from the Middle East."
"If our strategic allies in the Middle East cannot rely on the United States for air defense technology and support, they may turn to our adversaries to do so," Carlin said in an article published by the American magazine, "The National Interest."
A few days ago, Pentagon spokeswoman Jessica McNulty said that "some military capabilities and platforms will be returned to the United States for maintenance, while other equipment will be redeployed to other regions."
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
According to McNalty, "the decision was taken in close coordination with the countries hosting that equipment in a way that ensures our ability to meet our security obligations" in the region.
The security analyst added, "Iranian-backed militias in Iraq still pose a threat to US forces at a time when they continue to launch drones and missiles targeting those forces, while Houthi rebels maintain their advance in the Yemeni province of Ma'rib."
But a Pentagon spokeswoman confirmed her saying: "We maintain a strong military presence in the region, commensurate with the threat, and we are confident that these changes will not affect our national security interests."
And she added, "We also maintain the flexibility to quickly return forces to the Middle East if necessary."
Iran and Houthi attacks
But Carlin, whose article recalled the Iranian attacks on US bases in Iraq, and the Houthis' attacks on Saudi interests, emphasized that "while Iran is taking bold steps in the region, the White House is directing to reduce defense support for US allies in the region, and the administration seems focused on returning to the nuclear agreement." signed in 2015.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
She added, "These withdrawals come after armed militias linked to Iran have attacked American interests more than 45 times since the beginning of this year alone," while "the current attacks show the development and advancement of the technologies that these militias possess."
Presence is still 'strong '
The Pentagon spokesman, John Kirby, said Monday that the United States has a "strong presence" in the Middle East, adding that Secretary Austin is convinced of the need to maintain this presence.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Commenting on Washington's withdrawal of some forces and capabilities from the region, Kirby said, "This is a common matter, and helps maintain the readiness of these capabilities," stressing that the Secretary of Defense will not take any similar decision if it endangers the interests of the United States.
Reorganization of the military presence
And the American newspaper, “The Wall Street Journal”, quoted US Defense Department officials as saying that Washington is “sharply reducing the number of American anti-missile systems in the Middle East,” as part of a “major reorganization of the American military presence there.”
The newspaper said, “The operation aims to withdraw about 8 Patriot anti-missile batteries from countries including Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan and Saudi Arabia,” and that, according to officials, whose names the newspaper did not reveal, “another anti-missile system known as THAAD, which specializes in defense, is also being withdrawn. From Saudi Arabia, the number of jet fighter squadrons assigned to the region will also be reduced.
