Mr. Al-Hakim and the US Ambassador discuss the election results and stress the need to enhance confidence in the electoral process

{Political: Al Furat News} The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim discussed with the US Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller, the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the region, the results of the recent parliamentary elections, and the bilateral relations between the two countries.
A statement from his office, which Al-Furat News received a copy of, stated that Mr. Al-Hakim affirmed during the meeting his "previous position that the Independent High Electoral Commission and the judiciary should take all measures that would enhance the confidence of citizens and political forces in the electoral process and in a way that contributes to its transparency and reflects a positive image of democracy." in Iraq".
He also called on "the objecting political forces to adopt peaceful and legal methods to claim their rights."
Mr. Al-Hakim stressed "the importance of the next Iraqi government meeting the aspirations of the Iraqi citizen and leading the country towards stability and prosperity through achieving comprehensive development" again "his position on the necessity of starting from the constant national interest in Iraq's relations with the countries of the world and strengthening the bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States of America, especially in the aspects economic and service.
On the other hand, Mr. Al-Hakim stressed the importance of dialogue as the most effective method for solving all problems and dismantling crises in the region.
