    President Abdul Latif Rashid announced, on Wednesday, that the Iraqi government will coordinate with countries in the region to confront climate change.[/size]
    [size=45]"Iraq is facing an unprecedented water crisis, which poses a major threat to food security and causes displacement," Rashid said during his speech at the United Nations Water Conference in New York.[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "Water shortage poses great risks to the agro-food system, ecosystem and social stability in Iraq, and there is an urgent need to find sustainable solutions to the water crisis."[/size]
