    Environment Minister Jassem Al-Falahi stressed that work at national levels cannot achieve positive and realistic results in facing the effects of climate change without regional and international cooperation that would enable it to achieve fruitful progress in implementing the strategy set by the Iraqi government, pointing to the importance of the commitment of the major industrialized countries. The compensatory mechanism approved by the Paris Agreement on climate change.

    Al-Falahi stressed, "The great support given by the Iraqi government and Al-Kazemi's interest in the issue of climate change and its economic, health, social and security repercussions, and the role of youth and women in particular and their contribution to facing climate changes and enhancing community contribution.
     
    During the conference, which will be attended by the European Union's environment ministers in various countries of the world, Al-Falahi said that "the focus was on the European-Middle Eastern dialogue to confront the effects of climate change and how to implement the concepts of climate change and renewable energies and confront the environmental problems facing the world."
