    The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, announced on Wednesday the launch of work on the optical cable project that connects the ministry’s departments and divisions electronically, pointing out that the project is an introduction to completing the automation of the ministry in all its departments.
    Al-Asadi said in a statement received by the Al-Ma’louma Agency, “This electronic connection was made through the self-efforts of workers in the Ministry’s Information Technology Directorate, and at a cost not exceeding 15% of the actual costs of the project,” noting that “it comes within the goals and priorities that the Ministry has set since assuming his duties.”
    He added, "The launch of work on the optical cable project coincided with the start of implementing the Retirement and Social Security Law for Workers," announcing "the launch of Social Security Week, during which the culture of social security will be disseminated, and clarification will be made regarding the services and advantages that this law will provide." He called on all media outlets to participate with The Ministry is engaged in an education campaign towards the law.”
    It is noteworthy that the optical cable project included connecting all formations of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to a local communication network based on FTTH technology (fiber to the home), which is the latest technology and can be expanded without the need to carry out any civil works, and this network was also linked to the network. Secured government services, and thus the Ministry achieved connectivity with all government agencies, became ready to transfer data, and achieve data boycott electronically. Ended / 25 hours
