On Sunday, Minister of Communications Hiyam al-Yasiri inaugurated the optical cable project in Kirkuk Governorate.
The ministry said, in a statement received by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "Al-Yasiri inaugurated today, on the sidelines of her visit to Kirkuk Governorate, the optical cable project in the governorate, in the presence of Governor Rakan Saeed Al-Jubouri."
And Al-Yasiri stressed that "the ministry attaches great importance to optical cable projects because of their positive role in raising the level of Internet service," noting that "the percentage of completion achieved on the ground is 300%, which means more than the percentage determined in the government program."
She pointed out that "the ministry's strategy focuses on providing infrastructure for the private sector, activating real partnerships with it and supporting it in the completion of service projects."
