    Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad discussed with President Iranian President Hassan Rowhani in a telephone conversation ways to continue cooperation between neighboring countries in both countries.
    The Iranian media reported that President Hassan Rowhani confirmed during a telephone call from the Emir of Qatar, Tehran's desire to strengthen relations with neighboring countries, especially Qatar, pointing out that there are many floors and energies to enhance cooperation on the political and economic levels between the two countries.
    "There is a great deal of ground and energy to promote political and economic cooperation between Iran and Qatar, and we must build upon this and strengthen this joint cooperation," Rohani told the Tasnim news agency.
    Rowhani pointed out that Iran attaches great importance to the development of its relations with neighboring countries, especially the "sister country of Qatar". "One of the principles of Iran's foreign policy is to continue to cooperate with neighboring countries in the Gulf and we believe through the firm will of both sides we can remove existing obstacles and strengthen the bonds of friendship," he said.
    For his part, the Emir of Qatar congratulated the Iranian president on the presidential elections and stressed: "Our relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are ancient, historic and well established and we call for further strengthening these relations." According to Tasnim.
    "We believe that in the course of further strengthening relations between Iran and Qatar, there is no obstacle," the Qatari news agency quoted the Emir of Qatar as saying.
    He added that he would issue an order to the concerned bodies in his country to exert more efforts to enhance cooperation between Tehran and Doha
