Once more, US-led coalition showers Raqqa with white phosphorus

Raqqa (Syria News) At least four civilians were wounded and dozens others were killed, including women and children, on Monday, when warplanes belonging to the US-led international coalition showered residential areas in the city of Raqqa with white phosphorus munitions.
Meanwhile, activists revealed that the casualties belong to one family from Deir Ezzor, where their house, located in Nazlet Shehada area, west of the city, was bombarded.
The international coalition warplanes previously struck the city of Raqqa with white phosphorus, killing dozens of civilians.
On June 10, 2017, US-led international coalition showered the city of Raqqa with white phosphorus, leaving more than 13 casualties, while also bombarded an internet café in al-Jazra neighborhood, killing 18 persons.
Furthermore, coalition aircraft conducted more than ten air strikes, including five using white phosphorus, on the neighborhoods of al-Batani, al-Romaniyah and al-Qadisiyah, west of the city.
It is noteworthy that when a white phosphorus shell explodes, the chemical inside reacts with the air, creating a thick white cloud, and when it comes in contact with flesh, it can kill by burning deep to the bone.
