    BAGHDAD (Reuters) -
    An Iranian general confirmed Wednesday the presence of Iranian military forces on the Iraqi border to counter any moves by the Da'ash organization.

    He said the brigade "Mahdi" Airborne commander Brigadier General Noor Allah Hosseini, in a press statement published by the agency Tasnim Iranian news agency, said that the "brigade in the highest level of readiness and ready to face any aggression , " he said, adding that "two of the units brigade were present on the Iraqi border to counter the movements of Daesh "He said.

    "The Revolutionary Guards are expected to face threats and wars in the future, so we focus on special forces more than ever," Hosseini said.

    "We are 100 percent ready and ready to confront any enemy," he said. "Today we respond to threats elsewhere."

    On the possibility of a clash in the Gulf region, Husseini noted that "the enemy, whatever its capabilities, whatever the state can face us, we are always aware of the weaknesses of the enemy, so we do a lot of maneuvers."
