" Russia does not recognize North Korea's nuclear status, " Putin said during talks with his South Korean counterpart. " Pyongyang 's nuclear missile program violates UN Security Council resolutions, undermines the nuclear non-proliferation regime and creates a threat to security in Northeast Asia."
