Iraq's National Wafd Party demanded on Saturday that the prime minister reduce the price of fuel and oil derivatives used by the citizen in his daily life and in industry, agriculture and trade.
The party said in a statement received by Sky Press that "we submitted an official letter to the Office of Abbadi to include the reduction of fuel prices by 60% on its agenda, because of its positive impact on raising the standard of living of the Iraqi people and alleviate the ignorance, as well as the role to be exercised by the reduction in Moving the wheel of the economy and activating the agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors in the country.
He called on the government to "coordinate with the International Monetary Fund to negotiate the conditions imposed on Iraq, which set the price of fuel disproportionate to the income of Iraqi citizens in the current economic conditions."
