Economy News _ Baghdad Oil prices fell on Monday, but remained close to a multi-month high reached last week. Reuters said the decline came as the number of oil drilling platforms in the United States declined and refineries continued to resume after Hurricane Harvey stopped working. WTI crude futures were $ 49.83 a barrel, down six cents from the previous close, but still close to a three-month high above $ 50 a barrel briefly reached late last week. Brent crude for Brent crude was $ 55.58 a barrel, down 4 cents but still not far from a five-month high of $ 55.99 late last week. |
