The head of the Higher Judicial Council, Judge Faik Zaidan, discussed in his office the mechanism for the return of Iraqi citizens wanted to be executed with the Swiss ambassador during his meeting at his office Monday evening, as well as discussing common issues and enhancing cooperation.
"The head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faik Zidane, received at his office the Swiss ambassador, Hans-Peter Lantz, and the two sides discussed the mechanism for the return of Iraqi citizens wanted for the judiciary," Sattar Berkdar, spokesman for the Supreme Judicial Council, said in a statement received by the Journal.
"Both parties also discussed the mechanisms of the Iraqi courts in matters of personal status and official documents approved by them, which prove the family and social situation of every citizen, especially Iraqi citizens residing abroad."
