    [ltr]UN Secretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman said the UN Security Council must do all it can to stop the escalation on the Korean Peninsula.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The UN official said at the start of a UN Security Council meeting on Wednesday on North Korea's missile test that he had met with Pyongyang's envoy and discussed the launch of the latest missile.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"During the meeting, I stressed that there is nothing more dangerous today than what is happening now on the Korean Peninsula for the security of the world," Feltman said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations said that Pyongyang did not report to the international community concerned again its intention to launch a new missile, did not notify the existence of a threat in the airspace and navigation.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The UN official stressed that the UN Security Council must do all it can to avoid escalation, adding that the solution must be political only.[/ltr]
    [ltr]US Ambassador to the United Nations Nicky Hailey called on all countries to cut all diplomatic, military, political and economic ties with North Korea, including importing labor from the country.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"We have never sought war with North Korea, and now we do not want to, and if war breaks out, it will happen because of continuing aggressive moves like those we saw yesterday," Hailey said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]It believes that the military conflict that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is trying to inflame will lead to the total elimination of North Korea's regime.[/ltr]
    [ltr]US diplomacy has called for North Korea to be denied the right to vote in the United Nations.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Haile also called on Chinese President Xi Jinping to halt the export of crude oil to North Korea, warning that the US side could begin to solve the "oil issue" himself.[/ltr]
    [ltr]For his part, the South Korean delegate at the meeting of the Security Council called for not abandoning attempts to find a peaceful solution to the North Korean issue despite the new provocative step by Pyongyang.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The South Korean diplomat stressed the need to be patient in efforts to persuade North Korea to participate in the negotiations, saying the international community is ready to secure a better future for North Korea if its choice is correct.[/ltr]
    [ltr]North Korea had fired a ballistic missile from the city of Pyong Sung early Wednesday, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the North Korean armed forces indicated that the maximum rocket was estimated at 4,500 km and the distance of 960 km.[/ltr]
